Our experienced operations team serves as the liaison between your event staff and local agencies, venue operators and community partners to help ensure a seamless event experience. We provide operational support throughout the planning process, including:
- Assist with the organization and management of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC)
- Provide on-site event support when needed
- Obtain permits and/or venue contracts
- Help recruit volunteers
MARKETING & PR
Our marketing and communications team is ready to help build awareness and drive attendance for your event throughout the Louisville region. Marketing and public relations support includes:
- Assist with local earned media outreach
- Coordinate and distribute press releases to local media
- Build awareness through grassroots marketing initiatives
- Promote your event across Louisville Sports Commission social media channels
- Feature your event on the Louisville Sports Commission event calendar

Every event has unique sponsorship needs. The Louisville Sports Commission can provide insight into Louisville’s corporate and philanthropic landscape, helping you identify potential sponsors and develop a strategic approach to local sponsorship opportunities.
Destination Services
Louisville Tourism’s Services Team is dedicated to ensuring a successful experience for event organizers and attendees. Available services include:
- Housing services powered by Meeting Max through a customized, 24/7 online booking portal
- Site visit planning and coordination
- Off-site event venue recommendations and selection assistance
- Convention and Event Resumes distributed to community partners
- Welcome program that may include airport welcome message, downtown pole banners and social media promotion
- Official Louisville visitor guides, city maps and restaurant information
